I'm never the type of person to leave a negative review and damage someone's business or reputation, but in this situation I feel obligated to put out a warning to anyone else who may be considering hiring Hancock Construction.I contacted Hancock in November of 2023 to replace roofing on our home after a hail storm. It is now almost May of 2024 and I am still out ~$3,000.My first and biggest regret is paying upfront in full. Upon completion of the job, Hancock was to submit documentation to my insurance company for my final reimbursement. After 5 months of waiting, the insurance company has still not heard from him and I am still without my final $3,000.Getting fed up with the wait, I tried submitting the invoice that I received from Hancock to my insurance company on my own. They stated "Please ask your contractor to revise final invoice and provide photos of completed roof. Your contractor stated he didn’t repair four lines items; however, he’s trying to take 99% of the paid when incurred and leaving $8.00 for the remaining four items."I continue to wait...On top of this, Mr. Hancock has been nearly impossible to get in touch with. After cashing my check, he has never once again answered a call from me nor called me back at any point. I have had to resort to text messages in which his responses are few and far between.When first setting up the job, Mr. Hancock told me the job would be done the week of 11/26, then he said 12/1, then Tuesday 12/5, then Thursday 12/7, then Monday 12/11. Each and every one of these dates was a no-show, no-call by Mr. Hancock - and my wife and I had each taken time off work each time to be there to get them kicked off in case they had any questions or issues. We waited and waited, but no one ever showed up or called us to tell us otherwise.After all of these missed dates, I told Mr. Hancock that I wanted to cancel the job for a refund. This is when he told me he would do the job the next day 12/14 and I obliged.The crew showed up and completed the job in a timely manner. To my knowledge, Mr. Hancock never stepped foot on the jobsite.When the job was complete, I was left with a large hole in my siding, a flower pot knocked off our deck and shattered in our landscaping rocks, and packs of shingles left behind in our yard. Mr. Hancock told me he would swing by to pick up the shingles, but of course that never happened and I was left to dispose of them on my own. The hole in the siding could not be fixed due to "cold temperatures".All that being said, I am simply interested in getting the remaining ~$3,000 balance from my insurance payout which I had already paid to Mr. Hancock. Once I receive my final payment I will be removing this review, but if you are reading this, then I am still waiting.The moral of the story is be careful who you hire (and don't pay them full price upfront). There are many better contractors out there in the FM area.

I had hail damage on my roof and called 3 roofers for estimates. One never called me. One called me 2 weeks later, but Hancock came within one day, and I had my roof installed within a week. Very professional installation and was completed in one day. Jeorge explained the quote very well, and everything happened exactly as he said. Honest and quality work.

Riley and his team provided amazing roofing service. 8 men showed up and worked hard for two days straight to strip and shingle our roof at our lake home. I was impressed with their attention to all details from prep to clean up. Great team of polite, hard working and friendly workers!
